Playing Boxing night is an Optimo tradition that dates back to the Paleozoic Era. If truth be told it really wasn’t better back in the day and playing to Trilobites was not a very satisfying experience. Fast forward to the Brexit era and audiences are much more fun to play to than the single cell organisms of days of yore.
Boxing night this year falls on a Tuesday so rather than steam in there and boot our friends from I AM into the icy darkness we have decided to do the night together and have a yuletide sound clash to end all yuletides.
Doors will be at 11 and we will play until 4am, even though the lure of some more turkey and the remnants of that last selection box may have tempted you home by that hour.
So, come all ye merry Glaswegians (non Glaswegians also welcome) and join Twitch, Wilkes, Beta & Kappa for a night of musical gluttony.
*Please note* Expect not too many Christmas songs, though Beta may add some live jingle bells over the top of Kappa’s records.
